Pre-Congress Course

Optimizing ART Outcomes

Thursday, 1 May 2025 | 0900 – 1800
Venue: Room 331, Level 3, Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre

Course description

The evolving landscape of medically assisted reproduction (MAR) calls for improving the safety and efficacy of MAR. There is a need to individualise ART treatment especially controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) for patients. However, there are still knowledge gaps and a lack of consensus on many aspects of treatment. At the end of this workshop, participants should acquire a better understanding of the specific indications of different protocols for COS and add-on treatments during COS.
Participants will explore a range of topics, including pre-conception care to optimise fertility treatment, use of LH in IVF cycles, extremes in ovarian stimulation and challenges for ovarian stimulation in certain situations.

Course Objective

This course aims to provide attendees with the knowledge by critically reviewing the existing literature and emerging concepts. This Pre-congress will provide guidance to clinicians on

  • How to distinguish between fact and fiction of COS protocols
  • Be updated on best practices for COS in ART
  • Be updated on the controversial aspects of COS
  • To know the evidence for us of adjuvants in COS
Target audience

Reproductive medicine clinicians, gynaecologists, endocrinologists, and those wanting an overview of the topic.

This workshop is organized by the ASPIRE Reproductive Endocrinology and PCOS SIG
